-Black people do read, and teach for that matter. I took violin from an instructor who was black. Obviously he did read, otherwise he wouldn't have been a music teacher who could play his instrument in public with an orchestra. You have to be a very good play by ear musician for that and/or read musical notation to learn new music, and yes, he read musical notation.
-I have a friend who teaches high school, so, duh, she reads! And she happens to be black.
-Obviously this chain letter was started by some racist idiot who could have been either white or black, someone with no life at all, and a very sick attitude toward whichever ethnicity he or she is not.
